Prestigeous concern requires a Marketing Officer to provide strategic and operational support to the Marketing and Communications Manager, and to further implement internal and external marketing and brand communications, sponsorships, product development, research, CSI, and corporate positioning plans.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBLIGATIONS

• Gather content and constantly update the company brochures and all other marketing/promotional material
• Demonstrates technical marketing skills and product development knowledge
• Assist the Marketing Manager to develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with other business units, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus on meeting organizational objectives.
• Coordinate the development and the implementation of the Corporate Identity Manual
• Implement systems to monitor and ensure compliance to the corporate identity
• Develop CSI programmes in line with the brand strategy
• Implements marketing and advertising campaigns; planning and organizing promotional presentations; developing and updating annual diaries and calendars
• Prepare a marketing report by collecting, analyzing business unit data in order to determine opportunities in the marketplace
• Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department, and keeps a photo library and coordinate the functioning of the studio
• Manage the implementation of the Marketing and Communications Forum
• Enter the as an organization as well as its Executive Leadership in various awards
• Monitor monthly Marketing Department Budget. Delivery of all marketing activity within agreed budget. Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Manage all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution
• Ensure the achievement of frequent, timely and positive media coverage for all Business Units according to the marketing plan
• Create a web portal to transform previously archaic intranet into a dynamic website improving communication flow and adding an effective tool for our Stakeholders
• Prepare catalogs, guides and brochures that enhanced the understanding of complex product features and help to market more effectively
• Assist to managing the entire marketing cycle and annual calendar from strategic planning to tactical activities
• Plan meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications
• Conduct a market scan, and specify market requirements for current and future activities by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to stakeholders
• Perform ongoing market research and demographic profiling to identify and capitalize on unmet market needs ahead of the curve
• Produce media kit that demonstrated key marketing analytics and demographics for use in Business Development presentations
• Develop and manage online marketing campaigns , effectively driving brand awareness, engagement and traffic to social media pages
• Achieve a strong, visible social media presence and develop concepts with viral potential. Continuously monitor online public relations and ensure the success of client programs
• Assess social media marketing strategies to determine rate of return. Identify and tap into new channels to optimize ROI and fuel growth
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Maintain high service level standards for the different marketing services offered and improve existing services through the introduction of new workflows. Guide departmental staff to ensure continuous resolution of problems and improvement of work processes
• Monitor performance of direct reports and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback and interacting with the marketing and communications manager and HR to ensure development and implementation of the training & development plan for the department

4. COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Direct Marketing, Market Segmentation, Marketing Research, Coordination, Project Management, Reporting Research Results, Understanding the Customer, Process Improvement, Initiative, Planning, Financial Skills, Brand Management, Sponsorship
• A Post-graduate degree or diploma in marketing and/or brand management as well as relevant work experience in the marketing and brand communications, sponsorships, product development, research, CSI, and corporate positioning
• Proficiency in English
• Ability to multitask and work to deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills- the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Specific skills in corporate identity and brand management
• Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form
• Excellent spoken and written English
• 8 or more years’ experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of how to present information to different audiences
• Analytical and conceptual skills to think and plan strategically
• Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with advertising and media buying agencies and other key service providers
